Ignorance- especially when it comes to crucial parts of our bodies- is NOT bliss. Women’s bodies are less studied, and pleasure certainly is not at the forefront of what’s typically taught about women’s sexuality. This glaring omission is a disservice to us all, so let’s make sure to share the fact-based love. Whether you have a clitoris or you love someone who does (or both), it’s a wondrous part of the body.

The clitoris…..

  • ONLY functions for pleasure – it has no other purpose

  • Has more nerve endings than a penis (we’re still studying it to get an exact number, but this study seems to demonstrate that there’s even more than the 8,000 we thought there were)

  • Is much bigger than the part you can see. It is not just a “little button” – it extends considerably internally too. For more details and an image, check out this article.

  • Can provide unlimited orgasms, with no rest period required in between. While women can experience ejaculation, the body doesn’t require the same refacatory (rest and reset) period that penile ejaculation requires (for the record, men can also learn to orgasm without ejaculation and have multiple orgasms in that way).

  • Usually likes to be stimulated directly – on the external part –  in order to experience orgasm (around 3/4 of women need direct external stimulation for their O)

Truly, this body part is a wonder, and a fabulous gift of nature- for pleasure and health.

Here are some ways to show love to a clitoris:

✋ hand

🎤 vibe / toy

🚿 shower head

🚴🏻‍♀️ friction / rubbing against something

🧘‍♀️ squeezing

And much more! There’s no wrong way to utilize those nerve endings, as long as it’s wanted touch that’s feeling good. Show it some love!
